In this Project 1, we are focusing on the title :
「Famous Architect: Experiential Exploration of Building Materials」
So first, the architect that we chosen was Renzo Piano.During the research, we get to know the background of this famous architect and found out that "his intellectual curiosity and problem-solving techniques as broad and far ranging as those earlier masters of his native land."-Pritzker Jury. Besides that, me and my group members get to know the philosophy and design style of Renzo Piano. After understanding the background of our architect, we chosen few of his buildings for our Project 1. While doing this research, we get to explore and understand on the reasoning of the choice of materials used on buildings together with their characters, properties and the influence to the building design in general.
